The Rookies Bathroom Project Reveal | The Reno Race

Pearson + Project The Rookies Reno Race - 2.jpg

The Reno Race Rookies, Dan and Claire inherited a bathroom that was designed for the previous owner (a lovely lady in her nineties). A while the bathroom may have been perfect for her - it wasn't exactly what they had in mind. The bathroom makeover was biggest renovation project the rookies took on, as they changed the whole layout of the space, removed walls and floors and essentially re-built the whole area.

It may have been a big renovation project, but the rookies got some serious bathroom confidence after going to the Caroma's Showroom to select their products from the Clark Range. The Clark Range offers on trend bathroom fittings that are priced for renovation beginners and tight budgets. The Clark range makes an impression, it's young and vibrant approach to bathroom design was just want the rookies were after. And though Dan and Claire had never selected taps or shower heads in their life, they were able to find products they loved all in one short shopping trip. Their Clark selections inspired their bathroom design and gave them the confidence make other bold choices.

Excuse the proud sister moment - but there are so many elements I love about this bathroom. The tiles add sophistication and make all the black fittings pop. The contrast of the black floor tiles against the white gloss subway tiles makes an impact and creates a bold and clever monochrome style. The vanity brings warmth to the space and adds a layer of texture and pattern. The Rookies brought their vanity from a local hardware from $360 store and then had the vanity top custom made to fit the insert basin. The final touches of the wall mirror opens up the space and the round floating shelves bring it all together.
